Key skills for a career in HR

Communication

You'll be the primary point of contact between executives, internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders so you'll be a clear and confident communicator dealing with people at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for drafting emails, reports, and correspondence as well as for representing the executive's voice and maintaining confidentiality.

Organisation

You'll have strong organisational skills to manage complex schedules, prioritise tasks, and coordinate meetings and travel arrangements efficiently. You be used to keeping track of multiple deadlines, appointments, and projects requiring meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.

Problem-solving

You'll be used to encountering unexpected challenges and must be capable of making quick decisions and finding solutions independently. You'll be a critical thinker with the ability to rapidly analyse situations, identify potential issues, and devise effective strategies to address them.
