What I do at MidKent College
My role is to support the Director of Safeguarding to manage and motivate staff to deliver high quality PSHE sessions in Group Tutorial. I line manage the Progress and Performance Tutors and work with them to create a robust PSHE curriculum that helps student to understand how to safeguard themselves against some of the challenges they face in modern Britain.
My role is to inspire students through outstanding teaching and learning that stetches and challenges students to be the best they can be.
I am responsible for the preparation, development and implementation of the PSHE curriculum at MKC.

Why MidKent College
MKC is a fantastic place to work. It is inclusive and supportive. It puts the students first for the foremost, which I am really passionate about.
Who am I?
My background has always been in Further Education. My teaching career began at a Land Based College in Kent, where I worked within the Equine Department. Horses are a huge passion of mine, and to teach young people about the industry and equip them with the relevant knowledge and skills to enter the equestrian world was so rewarding. Following this I worked with schools in the north Kent areas, and with student who at risk of becoming NEET, a rewarding role, but one that made me realise that I missed working in the FE setting.
I joined MKC in April 2024, and it has been great to get stuck into the PSHE/Group Tutorial Curriculum and build an exciting programme for our students.
I have my own horse who I love spending time with, I enjoy all things outdoors, especially walking the dog.
