Do your research
We expect candidates to know about what's important to us. You could take a look at our website, social media channels, strategic priorities and latest Ofsted report. There's a lot of information out there - make the most of it.
Understand the role
Review the job description and think about the specific skills and qualifications we need for the job. Be prepared to discuss how your experiences and expertise align with the role and how you'll help us succeed.
Think about what we might ask
Anticipate common questions like 'tell me about yourself', but also questions that relate specifically to the job you've applied for. We're likely to test some of the things you've told us in your application and ask you to share examples of the relevant experience you have.
What could you ask us?
Your interview is a chance for you to find out about us too. Think about some of the things that are important to you, or that you'd like to hear more about before joining the College. Come prepared with questions written down to remind you if that's helpful.
Hold a mock interview
Consider asking a friend, family member or colleague to sit down with you to conduct a mock interview. Practicing giving your answers out loud to someone else helps you think about how you can best communicate your skills and experience in a safe environment before the real interview.
Plan your visit in advance
Think about what you'll wear, what you'll need to have with you, and how you'll travel. There's nothing worse than arriving flustered, so plan your journey and leave yourself plenty of time so you don't have to worry about being late.
