Neil Hemstead

Hi, I’m Neil and I am the Curriculum Manager for Sport and Public Services at MidKent College. 

I have worked in Further Education for over 27 years, with the last 21 years spent at MidKent College.  I started my career working in Sports Development and then Sport Science before moving into teaching.   I have taught a range of subjects including Sport and Sport Science, Public Services and Policing; and Travel, Tourism and Leisure.  I have fulfilled many different leadership roles at the College and am now Curriculum Manager which is a very busy and diverse job, but the best thing is that I get to work directly with staff and students every day.  I also still get to teach and continue to enjoy part of my job.

I also work for an Awarding body supporting other schools and colleges to ensure they too are offering an excellent experience for their students.
