Trade to Teach

Are you an industry professional who understands the latest skills, techniques, approaches and equipment that sets the standards in your sector, with a Level 3 qualification in your vocational specialism?

Trade to Teach is an internal opportunity for Midkent College staff to develop and hone their skills in Teaching, Learning and Assessment. We understand that a career change from any industry into education may be daunting, and this programme is designed to support you through the initial transition.

For those joining us with an existing teaching qualification, module 1 provides an opportunity to integrate into the College values, systems and processes. For those joining without a teaching qualification the full programme of four modules provides an introduction to all elements of teaching practice, setting you up for your early career stages in the sector. Taught by the Advanced Practitioner Team, this course enables new staff to network with colleagues at a similar career stage, gain valuable insights from experienced teachers and provides a protected space to engage in reflective practice.
